What is a dental emergency?

If you are experiencing any of the following conditions are dental emergencies, and we recommend you get treatment as soon as possible.

  • Lost Fillings or Crowns

If you have lost or broken a crown or filling, try to find any broken off pieces.

Call our office right away to let us know you need an appointment, and bring the broken pieces with you when you come.

  • Broken or Chipped Teeth

If you have chipped or broken a tooth, try to locate the missing piece if you can, as your dentist may be able to reattach it.

Whether you can find it or not, please call our office as soon as possible to get it fixed.

  • Knocked Out Teeth

If you have a knocked out tooth, time is of the essence.

Try to find the tooth if you can, and keep it moist by holding it in your mouth, or placing it in a glass of milk, until you can get to our office.

Visit our office as soon as possible (try to call ahead if you can). The sooner you get here after knocking out your tooth, the more likely it is that your dentist will be able to save it.

  • Severe Swelling

If you are experiencing severe swelling in your mouth, face or neck, and if the swelling causes difficulty swallowing or breathing, please call our office as soon as possible.

We will help determine what is causing the swelling and the best way to treat it.
